The faith-based B Secure mentoring program is the hallmark project of Leysath Security Firm. The enterprise may be one of the city’s most successful security companies. Its proprietor, Roger Leysath Sr., has his own legacy as both the owner and a former professional athlete. Yet it is this program that instills faith, values and hope that the Germantown native is most proud of.

Cheyney University sophomore Imir Bailey, a graduate of the Philadelphia Military Academy, credits the program with saving his life. He readily admitted that he could have become just a statistic by following the course of many of Philadelphia’s young African American males who wind up in trouble.

“This was a program that helped me to mature,” Bailey said. “I learned the values that I needed to grow up. Everything changed after I was involved in B Secure. I would not have become a productive member of society without it. The reason is I love that guy, Roger Leysath.

“What he did was show me how a man of faith lives. He showed me what it meant to be a man and to live by certain principles. I am actually going to his alma mater now, and I would not be studying graphic design if it was not for the things I learned in this program. I just can’t praise him and the program enough,” Bailey said.
